Located in the historic end of the High Street, our aim is to create a relaxed friendly atmosphere while serving the finest comfort food & craft cocktails.We create the magic by slow cooking our ribs and hand pressing our steak burgers in house. The old staff accommodation was renovated into a new hotel, the building that we currently occupy today. All of our dining will be either 6.30 or 7.00pm starts, unfortunately we will not be able to offer any later tables.Our Adult only fine dining restaurant has been awarded two rosettes by the AA for the quality of our food. We aim to host the majority of our summer and early autumn dining, alfresco in our newly built under cover outside dining experience in the garden. IMPORTANT ! when booking during this period please note, dining maybe inside or outside and will be weather dependent and whilst we understand that some of you may book with us to experience the outside booths, on the night should the weather becomes extreme, we unfortunately may need to move the dining experience inside. .PLEASE NOTE DRESS CODE IS SMART CASUAL FOR DINNER:SORRY NO CHILDREN OR DOGS ALLOWED

    Fantastic food. Hot chicken wings were great quality and a good kick of heat. Half price burgers on a Thursday, made it even better. But great value otherwise. First time I've been, would definitely be going back again.

    Food and service very good. Only one issue, the ladies toilets were not up to standard, there was dust on the skirting boards and marks on the doors and walls in the cubicles. In one cubicle there was a loo brush covered in residue of toilet paper. It was also very cold in the ladies toilets. They definitely need a deep clean.

    A lovely afternoon tea spent with my sister to celebrate our birthdays. Staff went above and beyond and even bought out a small cake with a lit candle, this was a lovely touch and was very sweet of them. The food was all so delicious as well as the tea. Pleased we decided on coming here and will definitely return on other occasions. Thankyou to all the staff who looked after us!
