DOPO, meaning 'after' in Italian, is an intimate dining experience in the lower level of Elizabeth Square on the corner of 34th Ave and 18th Street in Marda Loop, Calgary. Inspired by D.O.P, its predecessor restaurant, on Canada's Top 100 three years in a row, DOPO has been reimagined by Executive Chef, David Leeder and Owner, Tony Migliarese. Our décor is warm and modern. The tradition has always been dark wood, leathers and a muted palette for a steakhouse. We broke the mould and decided to add hand-selected music that reflects us! We’re more like Jay Z and less like Sinatra. We only serve ranch specific Alberta Beef. That means we don’t serve beef from anywhere else on the planet. We know our farmers and ranchers personally and respect the hard work they put in to produce our beef. We are one of just a handful of steakhouses in Canada that serves, Grass-fed, Grain-fed, Wet-aged, Dry-aged and Wagyu beef 365 days a year. Our beef is always fresh never frozen.We use a 1800 degree Infrared Grill to cook your steaks. The high heat creates a flavourful crust on the outside of the steak and leaves a juicy centre.

    Broken Plate is amazing! The food and service is always top notch. Tonight, our Server, Percy, wowed us with his wonderful attentiveness and care with our meal. I tried a Passionfruit margarita and it was delicious. Always impressed by the arrangement of the plates and the Saganaki is to die for!

    What can you say about this place that hasn’t been said? Clearly it’s just amazing, the new location is charming beyond heck (although tough to find at first!) Super cozy space, friendly and informative team members and nice to see some new adds to the menu. If you’re able to get a reso then GO!

    We've been to the Macleod Trail location many times. Always great. Food and service. My father-in law had the Prime Rib and thoroughly enjoyed! He's a Prime Rib connoisseur:) Thank you Janice for the impeccable service!

    It was first time at Trullo Trattoria and I was so impressed! The service was fantastic - our server was knowledgeable, warm, and engaging even with how busy the restaurant was. The food was delicious! I ordered the arctic char and my friend had a pasta dish. The portion sizes were great - in fact, we both took our leftovers home to enjoy the next day. Thank you for a wonderful experience and I look forward to coming back again.
