The name Melina is rooted in Greek origin and derives from the Greek word for "honey". "Mel" can be derived from the name Melissa meaning "honey-bee". The restaurant is named after the daughter of Co-Founder Chef Dimitri Moshovitis. “Melina” will honor the strength of the matriarchy in the Greek family.     We've been to Salt & Vine several times. The food and service have always been wonderful and has never disappointed. The restaurant's ambiance is nice. I had a long girls lunch a couple of times and we never felt rushed. Very warm and cozy. We would highly recommend!

    Cava Mezze in Olney is halfway between our kid's home in Columbia and our sister's home in Bethesda. So it is great for convenience. There might be other options in Olney . . . but we always select Cava Mezze for the great food and outstanding service. This visit, we were spoiled by Christian. Each of his recommendations was spot-on - and he was consistently pleasant, professional and incredibly attentive. (and he is quite the photographer) And do yourself a favor - save room for dessert! The French Toast and the special (some chocolate/nut cookie bar) are spectacular!

    Great service and the food is do good. I truly enjoy bringing friends to Cuba de Ayer. The Boliche was tender and tasty. And the Ropa Vieja was truly authentic. The pernil was so tasty that the seasoning can truly come through every bite. Looking forward to my next visit.

    We love the place. We have been coming here on occasion for over 20 years now. They have renovated a bit since our last visit, and I preferred the old vibe but the new is really nice. I just have a place in my heart for the darker feel it had in the past.
