The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in the Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. With spectacular views from the comfort of the castle’s elegant interior, take your time to savour every delicious moment. The Afternoon Tea menu offers guests a wide selection of speciality teas or perhaps a glass of Champagne, delicate finger sandwiches, warm freshly baked scones with lashings of cream and home-made jam, not to mention our tasty pastries. This is as fine restaurant with lovely food and a very good selection on menu. It might be more the place to go for the special occasion as a bit pricey when you have a wider family with emerging partners etc. There was 6 in our party. That’s probably what makes it so special going there for the special occasions. Would highly recommend as staff very friendly and knowledgeable and very nice food and dining in lovely surrounds .

Absolutely fabulous food and service was amazing.. staff very friendly and accommodating 🤩 definitely recommend the Korean chicken dish (if u like hot food) so tasty

This was an amazing experience. We had a last minute adjustment to our party size (2 instead of 3) and the staff was so accommodating. They were all attentive and kind without being overbearing. The food and drinks were phenomenal, with a lovely view of the grounds. I would absolutely recommend this experience!
