We had a wonderful waitress and experience at Jonah’s on Saturday night. My husband order shrimp with his filet and the kitchen plated fried shrimp instead of grilled. My husband didn’t mind, but the waitress noticed and was quick to make it right. The grilled shrimp that he ordered were going to be a 15 minute wait, so she gave us a free dessert instead. The food was amazing, and the service was top notch.

The overall vibes and ambiance of the restaurant were great. I felt very comfortable as far as seating and the way the restaurant was set up. The food was pretty good! I ordered a ribeye steak, mashed potatoes and honey glazed carrots in which the steak was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed it, however the portion sizes of the entree sides were quite small. The potatoes came as a small dollop, and there were only 4 carrots. Flavors were there though and it was all very tasty! Drinks were amazing, and strong. I highly suggest the lemon drop martini, it was absolutely delicious. One down side though, was the service. Our waitress was very kind, but she did not give us very much attention and when she did, she was very quick with her interaction before she rushed on to something else. My partner and I both finished our whole drink, and almost all of our meal before we were checked on and given the chance to order a second drink. All in all though, it was a good experience and I strongly suggest spending a date night here.

This was our first time at the Midway Duck Inn and it definitely won’t be our last. We weren’t sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The vibe is great, nothing overly pretentious, but a nice, laid back, woodsy vibe. The service was excellent. I read about the duck wontons in other reviews and decided to give them a try. SO good! Since we were here for Valentine’s Day, we opted for the filet and lobster and the filet and shrimp. We weren’t sure what to expect getting lobster from a place in the middle of nowhere in central IL but it was fantastic! The steaks were cooked perfectly and the augratins were delicious. The old fashioneds were great. There are very few restaurants/bars around here that make a good old fashioned. This will definitely be one of our new date night spots!

Our experience was again, awesome! The views from the 6th floor are amazing, our waiter was helpful and attentive, our service was great, noise level was very low, and very romantic for our date night!

The food was great, and the service was excellent, as always. Bass Street is definitely one of the best restaurants in the entire Quad Cities area!
