Amazing service and sushi was deliciously fresh and had a great selection of seasonal fish! Paid the $8 extra for premium sushi for our live sushi combo and it was so worth it. Kid friendly - even gave my two kids little kids place settings. Oysters, gyoza, sushi and udon (my kids loved it!)

First time dining at Live Sushi. Sat at the sushi bar and were very impressed with the quality of the fish: very fresh with great flavor.

The servers were always hanging out at the back/in the back. First we were waiting around for menus for a long time until I called one of them over from the back of the restaurant and asked. Then we waited a long time before they came over after getting menus. They never just checked in (when we would have ordered more sake, or at the end considered dessert), they seemed occupied with take out orders. We ended up leaving without desert because everything took so long. And I mean... I'm used to service in France, where they don't "bug" you- but at a good restaurant they are always attentive if you meet their eye. These servers seemed to be avoiding us. The music was on the loud side. The food itself, as always was excellent. Best sushi I've had in SF. I just wish they seemed to care about the service part.
