Mia Bella Trattoria - which translates as "My Beautiful" Trattoria - is a delightful combination of Italian tradition and regional American twists. With multiple locations, the dining destinations are fun, intimate and moderately priced just like the traditional Trattorias where Italian families gathered for wine and delicious food. In a tradition of his own making, Owner/Chef Youssef Nafaa has created an exciting menu of familiar foods pushed to a new level with daring preparations and imaginative ingredients. Wine lovers will find a pleasingly extensive list of evenly priced wines while those seeking cocktails will find the same combination of classic recipes and creative mixings which set the menus apart.

The Hostess was very accommodating, when out of her way too make sure we were seated where we wanted and throughout the evening she came around to ask if we needed anything. The waiter was very attentive and excellent customer service, he came around frequently to make sure everything was going well. The food was delicious I had the Salmon with Risotto, my friend had the eggplant parmesan, for a desert we had the chocolate mouse cheesecake. Definitely would go back, nice ambiance and friendly staff. It was a great way to spend Christmas Eve.

The quality of the food has improved since our last visit a year or so ago. The service started off well but fell off as we finished dinner.

This is a very good restaurant. Food is excellent as well as the service. This was lunchtime. Many good choices of things to eat, pasta, risotto, pizza, sandwiches, salads, even steaks. Plenty can be had for $14-$20. I wouldn’t call it a bargain but for today’s prices it’s not horrible.

So tired of hearing we are short staffed! It’s the holidays and you are a 15+ year restaurant in the area. Took 59 minutes to get our food party of 6. 39 minutes to get drinks!! Management never checked on us, server cared but basically said nothing he can do about the situation. Don’t recommend going forward and predict out of business in one year!!

The food has always been very good here, but every time we visit, service lets the place down. Such a pity. The high ceiling also allows for a loud experience. Good food means we shall return.

I have had several great experiences with the Old Mia Bella downtown Houston. Which is no longer open. I have tried the Vintage Mia Bella twice and it was less of a dining experience as the original. The service was excellent. The food was average. The atmosphere was cold. The food was bland, I ordered the risotto with scallops. The scallops were good and served hot however the risotto was cold, clumpy, bland and chewy. My wife's diner was better, perhaps it was just the risotto. When I made the reservation, they asked what the occasion was. I put anniversary, on arrival no mention or anything to note the anniversary. So why ask?
