Mondello Italian Restaurant in the beautiful Seattle neighborhood of Magnolia provides one of the most romantic, most authentic Italian dining experiences in Seattle.

Mondello has beautiful pasta dishes, seafood & main courses, salads, zuppe & bruschette & antipasti dishes. Corino (owner) & Enza (chef) grew up in the vicinity of Mondello and they bring to Seattle their wonderful tradition of fresh seafood, homemade pasta & rich authentic Sicilian cuisine with all it's flair & joy of living.

They have the life experience of fine cooking and appreciation & sensiblity of the Italian palate that allows them to create a dining experience reminiscent of being in Mondello, Sicily.

Music plays under conversation volume so it was easy to talk during dinner. Food and service is absolutely superb. Everything is fresh and perfectly cooked. My mother needs to watch salt intake, which is no problem here. Each dish is seasoned with herbs, spices, olive oil and just enough salt to bring out the fresh flavors. Even so, the staff said they would have also prepared a fresh tomato sauce without salt if we needed it. What a find! Lovely food, service, and ambience! We are coming back!

My husband and I frequently visit Seattle and never miss the chance to dine at Mondello. It is coincidentally a favorite restaurant of our discerning 4-year-old grandson, who always orders his favorite polpo con patate, which is simple yet delicious! Yesterday he requested that the potato slices be quartered, and the lovely owner accommodated him, though it did not ruin the presentation. We also enjoyed perfectly cooked fettuccini de mare, a small Caesar salad with homemade croutons, and a beautiful vegetable platter at my request. Everything looked fantastic and tasted even better! We finished dinner with affogato and panna cotta served with fresh berry jam. The highlight of our experience was the warmth with which we were treated. You have to be a restaurateur at heart to create the welcoming atmosphere that Sofina has cultivated at Mondello!

It was a wonderful lunch! Delicious chicken marsala. It was a huge serving. Caesar salad was very fresh. We were celebrating my birthday and they presented us with a delicious tiramisu with a candle. Wonderful service too!

The owner/host was kind and very helpful. She recommended a great wine to accompany our meal. Service was quick and we very much enjoyed our dinner.

Delicious food freshly made in a wonderful family owned and run atmosphere. A very special place in Magnolia Village. Everything was wonderful, a special treat!

Everything about this place is so nice. Had the smoked salmon ravioli and the short rib ragu. Both were fantastic.

After just returning from a trip to Italy I wanted to celebrate my birthday in an Italian way; have always heard this neighborhood restaurant was excellent. The atmosphere is rustic old world, a small quiet place; the waitress (owner?) is from Italy, Sicily and we talked about our trip. We started with salads, the beet and the caesar and both were tasty. We both ordered lasagna, it was larger (higher) than expected and with lots of meat in the sauce and made with the Bechamel sauce. We had lasagna in Italy and it also had Bechamel sauce instead of Ricotta, delicious. We also had a Montepulicano wine, an area we had visited. A complimentary birthday dessert of Tiramisu with a candle finished a very pleasant dinner.
