    Our Server Chris F. was fantastic! He went above and beyond for our party of 7. The food was excellent. We love being able to go there for special occasions. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience.

    Food excellent. Service so so. Waiter didn’t seam enthused to be there at all. This was a special dinner for me and it was good but not great, especially with the price of the restaurant, I was expecting a bit more.

    Visiting from Philly area - took my family and niece (upcoming UPitt grad ‘25) here. Surprised at the busyness, perhaps for the “long” Valentine’s Day weekend. Basic presentation (odd: swordfish cut in half and stacked, and too much sauce; 2 huge crab cakes on a plate, not enough sauce) and while the food is good, the prices are just too high for this kind of place. Daughter’s pasta dish was perhaps below average. Nice atmosphere, pleasant service. We’ll happily pay Michelin star prices for great/outstanding, as a comparison for the reader. If prices here were, say, 25% less overall, my review would have been a 1/2 star higher.

    Have been there numerous times Always top notch However, this time… Food was average at best, very disappointed Sea Bass was over cooked I would put it at the bottom at my list to go again. Off the hook in the premier seafood in Pittsburgh

    Always love our experience dining here! Everything is top notch. Friendly faces, excellent service, amazing food & drink choices and of course beautiful views. Can’t say enough- this is by far our favorite spot in the city.

    I highly recommend Monterey Bay for a special occasion. The service was impeccable and the food came in generous portions and was prepared perfectly. My wife and I were celebrating Valentine's Day and our recent marriage simultaneously and were treated like royalty. Great live music in the lounge before dinner too! It is no wonder this restaurant has been a go to place in Pittsburgh for years! Bravo!!

    We enjoyed our evening at the restaurant, but we didn't think the prices reflected the quality of the food. The she-crab bisque was fantastic, the crb cake were delicious, but the shrimp was over-cooked and dry. Our server was very attentive and the noise level was perfect for having a private conversation. But, as I say, the prices were very high - Dinner for 2 for $360 was a little over the top.
