Enjoy the eclectic surroundings of this unique venue.The Botanical Rooms is upstairs and hosts our cocktail bar. Here you can experience Afternoon Tea from Wednesday to Sunday during the day and enjoy the fairy-lit bar on Friday and Saturday evenings. We host live Jazz and soul on some evenings. The Piano Lounge with it's vintage leather sofas and a mixture of eclectic styled furnishings is situated on the ground floor alongside our Whisky Bar. You can enjoy an Afternoon Tea with Piano accompaniment on Sunday afternoons or sample some of our extensive Whisky cocktails on Friday and Saturday evenings. We have live Jazz performances on selected evenings.Please ensure you select the correct venue and experience for your visit with us.

    First time tasing the new menu and it was honestly amazing! We had the taster menu and every course was spot on. We love this place due to not only the food, but the ambience and the service is friendly.

    Wow! What a hidden gem! I had been recommended to come to the boat house many times by friends, so I took my Nan there today and we wasnt disappointed!! Food was amazing! Big portions, large menu, lunchtime course deal which was great value for money. 10/10! Definitely will be returning soon x

    I’ve been to maddogs & Englishman quite a few times over the last year and every single time I go, I have such a brilliant experience with all the different themes that they go for. I’m never disappointed and always thoroughly enjoy it. I think my friend and I will be making a yearly visit!!!

    The host who seated us was very informative with suggestion about the portion sizes and menu options. Our waitress was great my drink was always topped up and checked with us and the beginning and end of our main meal and dessert. We had the fondue for 2 which, whilst very overpriced, was amazing with the fire to roast the marshmallow and the chocolate dip for the fruit was out of this world. The honey butter boneless chicken and chips both cooked with MSG were the best I’d ever tasted. Outstanding place
