Had a wonderful dinner at Perry’s Steakhouse in Vernon Hills last night, and it was nothing short of amazing! Our server, George, was incredibly attentive and provided fantastic recommendations that made our meal even more enjoyable. It was the perfect setting for a catch-up with my best friend of 17 years—great food, incredible desserts, and an ambience that was simply to die for. From start to finish, everything was top-notch, and I’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend for a special night out.

Our dinner at the Red Oak on a Friday night was sublime. We scored a seat by the fireplace and the evening took off from there. The Old Fashioned was out of this world. The appetizer was only so-so but not enough of a hit to call it out by name. We both ordered the filet and it was cooked to order (which is no small feat anymore) and delicious. The reduction sauce w/mushrooms really enhanced the meat and did not overpower. We skipped dissert and had another Old Fashioned (yes, they are that good). Great night, thank you Red Oak.
