The place was packed on a Saturday lunchtime, but the service remained personal and exemplary. The menu is interesting and the food delicious. The food and service was very good and we would have no problem recommending this pub to others. I had the Cottage pie with vegetables and my husband had the Hunters Chicken with chips and coleslaw . Both were good portions and very tasty although the chicken was a little tough. Bruce came and chatted at our table, he’s knowledge, experience and passion is captivating and it was a real pleasure talking to him about food. Thank you to all the staff at the acorn for a really lovely Sunday afternoon. We loved it so much we rebooked for the next Friday night and can see us visiting often.
