Bastion is the 24-seat restaurant of James Beard Foundation Award Nominee Chef Josh Habiger. It is located in a separate area within the casual cocktail bar of the same name, and it is a part of the Wedgewood Houston neighborhood of Nashville, TN. Bastion's dining room features counter seating around the kitchen for parties of 2 as well as three tables for parties of 3 to 6. Bastion's small team serves a weekly set menu of six dinner courses featuring many dishes with a wide variety of flavors, ingredients, and inspirations. Friendly service guides you through the culinary experience, which also features wine pairings, creative cocktails, and a curated vinyl soundtrack.     Maiz De La Vida is excellent ! It was a delicious dining experience that exceeded expectations. It is one of the few new Nashville restaurants that I’ll return to. My husband travels to Mexico frequently and said it reminded him of food from Mexico City, authentic, well seasoned, just enough spice. I highly recommend!

    My favorite restaurant in Tennessee did not disappoint (this was my 4th visit). Amazing food and watching it being plated before your eyes with explanation of each course by the chef elevated the experience.

    Wasn’t sure about a Japanese and Chinese place, but wow. We got the Sizzling Rice Seafood Soup, and it actually sizzled soooooo good. Also had the Egg Drop Flower Soup, which was warm and eggy in the best way. For mains, the Kung Pow was spicy and crunchy, and the pepper Steak was super flavorful and tender. Both were A+. Service was fast, portions were big, and everything tasted awesome. Would 100% eat here again.
