Vatutto is a family run restaurant, Owners Paul and Myrto Recinella moved from their 16 year Institution at Zios East Melbourne to the Ivanhoe location in 2015. A full renovation was completed recently creating a modern yetelegant atmosphere. Vatutto translates from Italian to ‘Everything goes’ the menu here has a diverse flavour selection from all corners of the earth. Produce here is sourced from premium suppliers, and we use sustainable seafood from Australian or New Zealand waters, Wagyu beef from Gippsland, organic eggs, fruit and vegetables, and quality imported cheese, dairy products and flour. Bread is baked daily and all desserts, pastries and ice cream are all made on the premises using quality ingredients.

We all grew up in spaces that equated food with love, just like this place. Everything we have done here is deliberate, from the art on the walls to the produce we use. We've made a point of sourcing ingredients from some of the best suppliers in the state, making sure that our menu reflects what's in season. For us, this place is about experience: we try our best to make you feel both at home and 'out for something special'. We got married at The Old England 18 years ago. Every year we lunch there on our anniversary. As usual the hotel is 5 star, polite staff, amazing food quality and quantity. Thank you everyone.

Always a good meal and a good atmosphere at sir Henry barkly’s. We are in the dining room and most of us had parmas - which were delicious. They were kind enough to bring out a dessert with a candle in it for my birthday too!

1. Easy parking, both paid and on the street. All other gastropubs that I considered had no parking nearby, necessitating more than a block's walk 2. Attractive dining area 3. Very quiet at Saturday lunchtime. Tables not too close to each other, thick carpet. 4. Great meals. My sister and I had salmon with roast potatoes, and a side of charred broccolini. My brother and cousin had fettucini bolognese. 5. Prices reasonable.
