Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength. Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We also received the Thai select award from the UK Thai Embassy which certifies authenticity and the freshness of our ingredients.We’re a young team of enthusiastic individuals, who over the last few years have bought our passion and skills to the table. We think this award sums up Nipa Thai rather nicely. What's cooking? Beautiful restaurant well lit and ambience was just right. The food was lovely and the service was amazing the staff were polite and made sure that we had our drinks and food quickly. The price of the meal for 3 people was very good and not too expensive. I would certainly go again.

Warm welcome, 4 of us for lunch. There was a la carte and a set menu to choose from, but the set menu is only provided for the whole table. Luckily, the dishes on the set menu today were cashew nuts with chilli and lime leaves, a beautiful, crunchy salad, duck curry, excellent mixed vegetables in garlic and oyster sauce, plus sticky and jasmine rice. We paid a supplement for a whole sea bass, fried. Dessert was also included.
