In the Royal Lancaster Hotel, the Nipa Thai restaurant has been named after the original Nipa Restaurant in the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok. This authentic Thai restaurant is one of the first 15 recipients of the 'Thai Select' award - this award has been described as being the first ever Michelin-style award for Thai restaurants proven to be performing to the highest standards of quality and cuisine, and is awarded by the Thai Government. We think this award sums up Nipa Thai rather nicely. What's cooking? Had heard good things, but was truly blown away by the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. Everything we tried was truly exceptional and I cannot wait for an excuse to go back and try the rest of the menu!

The whole experience on a freezing night was warm and welcoming. The staff did not stop smiling and bought loving cooked food and drinks that were felt and affordable. Really recommend this gem

This is a great neighbourhood find. Nice ambience and good food. Service is friendly. The kitchen is unreasonably slow which let's the whole side down. It shouldn't take 30 minutes for starters to come or close to 20 for dessert. I'll come back for the food in the hope that this weakness will be rectified.

Beautiful restaurant well lit and ambience was just right. The food was lovely and the service was amazing the staff were polite and made sure that we had our drinks and food quickly. The price of the meal for 3 people was very good and not too expensive. I would certainly go again.
