Patri has several meanings, in Hindi it means Pavement, in Urdu it means Track and in ancient Sanskrit its means a vessel or small furnace. The name took us back to our origins and we decided to use Pavement, Tracks, and Furnace to come up with a street food menu contains all three elements. Our starters are street food classics on pavements in India and Pakistan. Our grills are freshly cooked in the tandoor at over 400 degrees to replicate cooking in a furnace. We are a family business group operating within a number of industries including construction, security, technology consultancy. In July 2019, we landed the opportunity to turn around the historical Fusilier public house. The property needed a lot of work to regenerate it and, coupled with our approach of doing things right first time, we invested a significant amount of resources to turn this place around.We wanted to give customers a restaurant that they can come dine in that offered quality food, as well as local watering hole. The food is amazing and yum. I loved the Tandoori Phool. However, this time I did not have a pleasant experience with the staff. The lady who greeted us at the top was great and was courteous. Later there was a man who came in and started commenting on how long we were there; made small talk and joked about that they have a vacancy to wash dishes etc. If we are paying for the food and service, I don’t think the waiter had any rights to comment on how long we choose to spend there or make such remarks/jokes. Highly unprofessional. We always come to Chatora and take out as well. We had a lot of food and wine but this experience will make me rethink my visit.

The service is as great as the food is. Kind, refined, unobstrusive care for the customers, and an amazing menu of fine indian food from many regions, with the occasional twist of west meets east in the dishes. A wonderful find.
