With a European feel, many of our guests proclaim that they have been whisked away to Italy or France. We love that! Many accolades from the SF Chronicle, and the Mercury News as well as Eater SF hail Chef Yvonne and her team at Polenteria for being on the cutting edge of the Gluten Free Movement, and more importantly providing a safe space for those with Celiac to dine without hesitation. All the staff is wonderful. Francisco has been our waiter many times. He is wonderful & very attentive. The owner Clyde, does not cut corners. Most of hid food is made by scratch & is premium as well as his accommodations. I would highly recommend this Restaurant. If there was 10 stars to give, I would give 20 stars.

Went to this restaurant for the first time to celebrate a retirement and the food was so good. The service was great, the manager was walking by multiple times checking on everything, never had an empty glass. The food came out quick and very had to wait too long for anything. I definitely recommend this place.

We have been here several times. My husband has Celiac and it's so wonderful to come to a restaurant that has no gluten so he doesn't have to worry about any cross-contamination. The food is spectacular and you would never know the bread is gluten free. The service is very attentive and the price is reasonable for type of food and service you receive. The restaurant is very small but you feel like if you are in a cozy dining room and in spite of the close proximity to other diners, it still feels very intimate.

Had a hectic day and making dinner was not happening so we drove to Capers. Always a great emergency dinner spot and the food is always good.
