Holy Basil in Croydon Victoria has a very simple vision, to bring wholesome, delicious and exciting food to the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Our dream at Holy Basil was to create an exciting diner in the Eastern suburbs where people can relax, come together, have fun and enjoy proper homemade food in a very inclusive environment. We are proud to deliver 100% vegan and Vegetarian options at Holy Basil, use free-range eggs and source only sustainably caught seafood as well as a range of other exciting meals with 95% of the menu being gluten free.At Holy Basil we make our own curry pastes, sauces, desserts, chilli jam, and roti.We happily use gluten free soy and 100% pure fish sauce.We greatly appreciate your support in choosing to dine at Holy Basil. Our Croydon Taphouse is open to the public five days a week from Wednesday to Sunday. Enjoy a range of core and limited Dainton releases, as well as a locally-sourced cider, all expertly poured from our 14 custom taps.We've got a great selection of local wines and spirits, as well as a food menu that includes mouth-watering burgers and delicious share plates.We've always got something exciting happening, from weekly trivia nights to limited edition beer releases.Please note although there is some cover in the Beer Garden, if there is rain we will do our best to move you inside but we can't guarantee a table, also the tables for 2 are barrel tables with no cover. **Please note our kitchen closes at 6pm on Sundays**

There were four of us in the party and we all ordered something different. All the meals were really exceptional and we all really enjoyed our dinner. It was a very busy Saturday night, so we were very pleased that we had a table in the quieter section. The atmosphere was amazing and it's obviously a popular place to be!

We celebrated a wedding anniversary at Locavore for dinner recently and were so impressed with the customer service, food and attention to the dining experience. The braised lamb shoulder was melt in the mouth amazing! So good🙌🏻Definitely recommend this place for a quality dining experience ❤️

Holy Basil is our favorite restaurant and last night I was delighted to share the experience with two friends, who had not visited before. Not only were they impressed with the delicious cuisine but also with the friendly and attentive service, from the moment we walked in the door. Overall, it was a great evening. I would recommend Holy Basil to anyone who values excellence in food and service.

Good value, friendly staff, delicious food. Prompt service. Order the pork ribs early. Menu highlight was the brisket and the chocolate tart.
