Our dream at Holy Basil was to create an exciting diner in the Eastern suburbs where people can relax, come together, have fun and enjoy proper homemade food in a very inclusive environment. We are proud to deliver 100% vegan and Vegetarian options at Holy Basil, use free-range eggs and source only sustainably caught seafood as well as a range of other exciting meals with 95% of the menu being gluten free.At Holy Basil we make our own curry pastes, sauces, desserts, chilli jam, and roti.We happily use gluten free soy and 100% pure fish sauce.We greatly appreciate your support in choosing to dine at Holy Basil.     Evertyything about the place is amazing and thats why we keep copming back. Well done to chef Duncan and team on creating such a vibrant local restaurant. Its great to see how busy they are in a tough climate.

    The Tour through Melba’s cottage is very special with magical surrounding gardens. The restaurant and the food was amazing. We really enjoyed the full experience.

    We celebrated a wedding anniversary at Locavore for dinner recently and were so impressed with the customer service, food and attention to the dining experience. The braised lamb shoulder was melt in the mouth amazing! So good🙌🏻Definitely recommend this place for a quality dining experience ❤️

    The whole experience was memorable. The service was excellent and the food was unusual and well presented. Sitting under an umbrella out on the terrace looking out over the roses to acres of grapevines and the distant Yarra Ranges made me feel as if I was in Italy. Almost perfect!
