Stunning lunch in a stunning location. Food exceeded expectations. We were well guided through the menu by our waiter ( I believe his name was Dan ?) , who led us to flavours we would not normally pursue. It was well worth it Highly recommended.

The food was amazing. Service wasn’t the best. They set us at the wrong table for our set menu Valentine’s Day dinner. We ended up seated in the middle of the restaurant and was basically ignored after they sat us down. Finally got their attention and lots of apologies about seating us in the wrong area. They quickly moved us to the correct table in a more secluded part of the restaurant but then took forever to bring out drinks and didn’t really ask for any additional drinks order. We had the seafood platter and it was incredible so no faulting the quality of the food. I’m not sure it the correct ambience for what they are trying to achieve with the decor. It looks like a place where it would be great for a date night but I would say it is not. More of a hotel restaurant eatery vibe, if you are seated in the main restaurant, tables are close together so you are right next to the people next to you and it’s noisy. I’d go back for a business lunch type meal but probably not for another date night. Considering they had taken the trouble of doing a special menu for Valentine’s Day, I think the lack of attention to detail let the whole experience down.

I was looking forward to wine tasting and dining at Derwent Valley Winery but had no expectations except for a nice outing with family for my birthday. The menu looked good online and it was as overwhelmingly good as it sounded! Delicious and well sized portions of fresh, seasonal produce showcasing many of Tasmania’s classics but with interesting variations. The wine tasting before hand at the cellar door with Liz was an excellent introduction to the Estate and her friendly service and excellent knowledge made the experience even more enjoyable. Will be telling everyone to come and bringing all our visiting friends and family in the future. Thank you again for a lovely day!

Service at the bar a bit lacking! Nice enough place to have a Friday drink

Hi our lunch for my birthday was very pleasant. The staff were so helpful when one of our friends became unwell and needed to leave her husband called an ambulance and she was treated. Feeling much better now Kerrie
