The Duke Hotel is an independent, family-run gastro pub; a place to eat, drink and sleep.Tucked away in the picturesque village of Hilmarton, we are serving locally sourced seasonal food in a relaxed and welcoming ambience. The Duke has a stunning beer garden overlooking the majestic beauty of Hilmarton's fields and countryside. The pub also offers 4 freshly renovated en-suite boutique hotel rooms, 5 pitches for caravan & motorhome and The Duchess lounge, the old coach house, which has been renovated and converted into a farm shop & tea room. The Duchess lounge is our hidden gem set in The Duke's ground. We offer a homemade selection of cakes, scones, teas & coffee, afternoon tea, cream tea, breakfast, brunch and lunch. The Duchess also offers a great space for private hire. We also have a small farm shop selling local raw honey, organic butter and milk, free-range eggs, fruit and vegetables from nearby farmers, flowers and lots of local produce and hand-crafted gift ideas.

Badminton and Gatcombe horse trials are both within easy reach. We are 24 miles from the Roman spa town of Bath and from the city of Bristol, both with their many attractions. Cheltenham races are 34 miles from the Cat.Apart from these attractions, we are in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with many wonderful walks direct from our front door. We welcome well-behaved dogs.Our chef’s mission is to serve delicious pub food at reasonable prices. Our ingredients are fresh and largely sourced from local suppliers.
