Standing out from the crowd, our 400-seater restaurant is housed in a grand Grade II listed building featuring a distinct neoclassical Greek façade and mixes an industrial look with a touch of opulence inside.     I would easily rate this my favourite spot for a roast dinner on the wirral. It’s a nice quiet atmosphere, not for everyone who might like a bustling pub. Service is attentive and friendly. The food, incredible… the beef is thinly sliced but still with a nice pink in the middle, great mix of veg and beef dripping crisp roast potatoes with a giant Yorkshire - but it’s the gravy that makes it - red wine jus meats gravy (pun intended). Must dine!

    The Country Living Magazine recommendation certainly didn’t disappoint. What an absolute gem. We had a superb evening. Faultless. The food was exceptional. Wine selection extensive. Service was fabulous. I would come back to Chester purely to revisit Covino!

    Our experience at Piccolinos -Chester is always of the highest quality . The staff are always warm and welcoming and although it’s becoming incrementally more expensive-the food is always of the highest quality both in taste and presentation.
