   Had a 11:15 reservation. It took 45mins to get a drink. My date and I agreed that if we didn’t have food by 1pm we would pay for our drinks and leave. They brought us our food at 12:56pm. The food was good. But I will NEVER come back unless I’m ordering take out. This is the SECOND time I have been here with this service… when I said something to our server… she said it’s Memorial Day weekend… it wasn’t last time I came and it was the same. If you can’t service the tables you have… WHY DO YOU KEEP SITTING PEOPLE?!? We saw SEVERAL people leave before getting drinks or food because of this. The food is good… but where was the manager? Why not hire more people? This business is POORLY RAN!

   The food was fine but it takes SO LONG to come out. We got there around 11 and didn’t get food until 12:40. We were so hungry when our food arrived it was hard to really enjoy it. I went to celebrate my birthday and the wait with no communication the kitchen was backed up kind of ruined the experience. They also tried to sit us outside even though I had a reservation. They added a chair where there wasn’t really space for one because they didn’t plan for our reservation.

   I came at 1030 at reservation didn’t get food until 1130 people around me until later.

   Good food. Feels unorganized. Dragging tables while guest eat outside. Moving trash cans in front of tables. Not sure what tickets were for what table. Also it took almost two hours to get food ad waffle was undercooked. Lots of potential if they can get a lead to run and manage the operations, customers experience and help things run smoother.

   I wish I could give this establishment more than five stars.It is absolutely deserving. The service from Nina Simone was very attentive! I really appreciated the recommendation she provided which I absolutely enjoyed it The atmosphere now, this restaurant is great as well as the location. I didn't even mind that I had to pay for parking, which was not a lot. This is a busy part of town. The catfish and grits were incredible. It's the best I've ever had from any restaurant, ever!! I was so impressed with this restaurant that i'm already planning an event here very soon and look forward to it!

   Food was solid but definitely one of the worst overall experiences we’ve had since Covid. After being seated nobody acknowledged us for 20+ minutes. I had to flag down the hostess to let her know we hadn’t been waited on yet. Once waited on, we placed our coffee, drink and food order right away to try and speed things up. We never got our coffee we asked for. And didn’t get our first drinks until about 45 min after being seated. No water refill. Lipstick was still showing around the rim of my water glass. You could see there was clear chaos with the staff and no organization whatsoever. Within our time there (just under 2 hours), we noticed at least two other sets of customers leave due to service and waiting so long. Bar Rescue (show) would’ve had a blast with this place. Good food means nothing if their service is this bad. I hope they turn things around.

   Everything was delicious, but Hands down the BEST grits we have ever eaten! Monika was a great server-attentive, efficient, personable. Great ambience- clean, comfortable, fun music. Will be coming back for more of those grits!!!!!

   My aunt and I had tried 6 ‘N The Mornin’ for brunch the Saturday before Mothers Day. I almost didn’t, but I’m sure glad I made a reservation on Open Table. We were surprised to find the restaurant was packed and all the outdoor seating was full. We arrived a little early and the hostess explained it would probably be every bit of the wait until our reservation time. No problem.Time moved quickly. It was evident that the staff was hustling to please everyone. The hostess was very communicative about our wait. She asked if we didn’t mind sitting downstairs. She said she could seat us quicker if this was okay. We were seated and my aunt ordered a mimosa to drink and I had an espresso martini. Yum. Both were delicious. For brunch I ordered the Florida Coast French Toast, which came with eggs of your choice, sausage or bacon and cheese grits or potatoes. I chose scrambled eggs and was offered the choice to add cheese, which I accepted. I chose bacon and cheesy grits. My aunt ordered the Memphis Soul Breakfast Bowl, which consisted of grits, eggs and choice of bacon or sausage. When our food was served, I was pleased to have some of the best cheesy eggs and the best cheesy grits ever. I would come back here for these two simple delights alone. The French toast was well made and powdered with sugar. I don’t like syrup so I they were perfect for me as they arrived, though I would’ve appreciated a little butter on the side to slather on it. The bacon … it was thick and high quality slices of bacon. However, and I fully realize this is probably an unpopular opinion ,it was a little too smoky for my tastes. My aunt’s breakfast bowl was served hot and the bowl was full. She was happy with her selection and wound up taking half home, along with my bacon and half my French toast. I had been hearing good things about this place since it was located in Kenwood. I would say they exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be returning.

    I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt because it was a Sunday for brunch and the day of the flying pig, but we had reservations at 11:45 and were not sat until 20 minutes after that while we watched other groups get sat before us who did not have reservations. The hostess was extremely sweet and communicated very well about the situation. However once we got to our table it took almost 30 minutes to get our drinks and then about an extra hour to get our food. Once again we watched tables who sat down after us with them same amount of people get their food before us. I’ve been a server so I know this stuff happens but it could’ve been a little more organized. The food was very good once we got it so I would recommend not going on a busy morning if you don’t want to wait for a while.
