   I wish I could give this establishment more than five stars.It is absolutely deserving. The service from Nina Simone was very attentive! I really appreciated the recommendation she provided which I absolutely enjoyed it The atmosphere now, this restaurant is great as well as the location. I didn't even mind that I had to pay for parking, which was not a lot. This is a busy part of town. The catfish and grits were incredible. It's the best I've ever had from any restaurant, ever!! I was so impressed with this restaurant that i'm already planning an event here very soon and look forward to it!

   Food was solid but definitely one of the worst overall experiences we’ve had since Covid. After being seated nobody acknowledged us for 20+ minutes. I had to flag down the hostess to let her know we hadn’t been waited on yet. Once waited on, we placed our coffee, drink and food order right away to try and speed things up. We never got our coffee we asked for. And didn’t get our first drinks until about 45 min after being seated. No water refill. Lipstick was still showing around the rim of my water glass. You could see there was clear chaos with the staff and no organization whatsoever. Within our time there (just under 2 hours), we noticed at least two other sets of customers leave due to service and waiting so long. Bar Rescue (show) would’ve had a blast with this place. Good food means nothing if their service is this bad. I hope they turn things around.

   Everything was delicious, but Hands down the BEST grits we have ever eaten! Monika was a great server-attentive, efficient, personable. Great ambience- clean, comfortable, fun music. Will be coming back for more of those grits!!!!!

   My aunt and I had tried 6 ‘N The Mornin’ for brunch the Saturday before Mothers Day. I almost didn’t, but I’m sure glad I made a reservation on Open Table. We were surprised to find the restaurant was packed and all the outdoor seating was full. We arrived a little early and the hostess explained it would probably be every bit of the wait until our reservation time. No problem.Time moved quickly. It was evident that the staff was hustling to please everyone. The hostess was very communicative about our wait. She asked if we didn’t mind sitting downstairs. She said she could seat us quicker if this was okay. We were seated and my aunt ordered a mimosa to drink and I had an espresso martini. Yum. Both were delicious. For brunch I ordered the Florida Coast French Toast, which came with eggs of your choice, sausage or bacon and cheese grits or potatoes. I chose scrambled eggs and was offered the choice to add cheese, which I accepted. I chose bacon and cheesy grits. My aunt ordered the Memphis Soul Breakfast Bowl, which consisted of grits, eggs and choice of bacon or sausage. When our food was served, I was pleased to have some of the best cheesy eggs and the best cheesy grits ever. I would come back here for these two simple delights alone. The French toast was well made and powdered with sugar. I don’t like syrup so I they were perfect for me as they arrived, though I would’ve appreciated a little butter on the side to slather on it. The bacon … it was thick and high quality slices of bacon. However, and I fully realize this is probably an unpopular opinion ,it was a little too smoky for my tastes. My aunt’s breakfast bowl was served hot and the bowl was full. She was happy with her selection and wound up taking half home, along with my bacon and half my French toast. I had been hearing good things about this place since it was located in Kenwood. I would say they exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be returning.

   I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt because it was a Sunday for brunch and the day of the flying pig, but we had reservations at 11:45 and were not sat until 20 minutes after that while we watched other groups get sat before us who did not have reservations. The hostess was extremely sweet and communicated very well about the situation. However once we got to our table it took almost 30 minutes to get our drinks and then about an extra hour to get our food. Once again we watched tables who sat down after us with them same amount of people get their food before us. I’ve been a server so I know this stuff happens but it could’ve been a little more organized. The food was very good once we got it so I would recommend not going on a busy morning if you don’t want to wait for a while.

   It took a half an hour to get initial service and an hour for breakfast. There were just two of us.

   There was obviously some issue with the kitchen. The wait for our food was very very long. Other than that it was excellent.

   We went to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday. The restaurant was very clean and nice. The vibe was unmatched! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The food was a 10/10 SO GOOD! I had the veggie omelet, potatoes and pancakes everything was on point! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be returning soon

   The food and ambience were excellent. Service was good, although not outstanding. The restaurant is in a nice location and being able to walk around outside was nice. The restaurant is in an old bank. The bathrooms were downstairs. Unfortunately, the bathroom was flooded, and there was a pipe dripping from the ceiling. As there were no warning signs, I presumed that the manager was unaware. I spent 20 minutes trying to do a good deed connecting with the manager to inform them of the issue and this was rather challenging as nobody seemed to care.  I do plan to give them a second chance.

    The whole environment is top notch from walking into the restaurant with a beautiful layout to the host who starts out the enjoyable experience. our food and drinks were superb. I love how the owner engages and recognizes returning patrons and addresses issues that customers may have which appear to be miniscule. Just an amazing restaurant with superb food. What I love about the food and drinks are the consistency of presentation, taste and textures. It's food that has a home soulful feel, but with a nice clean favorable taste. If I could, I would give a higher rating of ten out ten stars.
