Del equipo editorial de OpenTable: El chef Johnny Curiel creció en Guadalajara (México) y debutó a los 14 años lavando platos en el restaurante de su padre. Hoy en día, la Guía MICHELIN lo considera el mejor chef joven de Colorado e incluso le ha otorgado una estrella a Alma Fonda Fina, el primer restaurante que abrió por su cuenta. En este espacio donde abunda la luz natural, la cálida vajilla de cerámica y las decoraciones tejidas, Curiel sirve platos mexicanos modernos y muy sentidos, como el aguachile de hamachi sellado, la birria de pata de cordero y los tacos doblados con pechuga confitada durante 12 horas.

Join us in our intimate dining room of only 28 seats. We invite guests to relax in a space accented by reclaimed wood, — sourced from the oldest building in Denver — clay-inspired wall treatment, an abundance of plants that evoke the feeling of Mexico City, and artisan finds from Johnny’s home state of Guadalajara.

In lieu of a traditional bar, 8 seats line a fully immersive Chefs’ Counter where guests can connect with the kitchen and watch the team at work. The full menu is served at the Chefs' Counter.

Had the best experience ever. Lived in Denver three years and best meal I’ve had. Sat and the chefs counter and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 100% will be returning. The wait is worth it!

Absolutely incredible all around. The restaurant itself is very cute. The food is vibrant and exciting. Every bite is a journey you won’t forget. The staff’s humble expertise shows through in the flavors and their love for the food. The chef’s table is quite a treat to sit at as it feels more intimate and special. If you’re looking for a fantastic experience all around this is the place to go. It feels like a quintessential Denver stop if you’re looking for the finest dining. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and hospitality as my wife and I celebrated our anniversary. We will definitely be back.

The absolute best food in Denver. Everything was full of flavor and tasted so fresh. I will be dreaming about the camote asado for the rest of my life

Wow! Amazing food, and a great pace to our experience, the whole staff was on top of everything. It was Valentine’s Day and they treated us to a Champagne toast on the house. Cannot recommend Alma Fonda Fina enough!! The colors of the lamb shank dish was my favorite detail.
