A throwback to the quintessential New York City dining experience of the 1930’s & 40’s, with a modern approach. Enjoy expertly curated wines, spirits and specialty cocktails.

Located in the heart of Westman Village in Mahogany, we are Calgary's favourite venue for live jazz, dancing, amazing food and drinks.

We are open Tuesday to Thursday at 5:00pm until late Friday to Sunday at 4:00pm to late with live entertainment every night. Come enjoy our Sunday Jazzy Brunch 10:00am to 2:00pm. Enjoy our fabulous Happy Hour from Tuesday to Thursday 5:00pm to 6:00pm and Friday to Sunday 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

    Our waitress Alexis took such good care of us: detailed and attentive. The music was outstanding and ambience was top class. It was quite the drive from us NorthWest communities but worth the drive. I highly recommend that everyone experiences Alvin’s Jazz Club!

    Food was great, and the band was wonderful. They played a very fun mix of various genres of music jazz renditions. Overall experience was awesome, highly recommend.

    Service was excellent, food was best meal I’ve had on a few years. Music was at a perfect level to enjoy but could still talk to my wife with no difficulty.

    The bone marrow tartare changed my life. Went for my wife’s birthday, lovely ambience, great music, small dance floor for later in the evening is great too. 10/10, fair prices for the portions and the food is unreal.

    We celebrated my partners birthday at Alvin’s Jazz club and it was everything we wanted and more. First, there is a light up menu, which is awesome since the ambience is darker in the restaurant. No squinting or needing to use a phone for light. We were amazed at this detail. Well done Alvin’s! The wine selection is vast, and caters to everything from lower end to higher end and everything in between! We had the scallops, which came in a little dome in which they were smoking on the inside. When our server lifted the dome, a beautiful smokey aroma filled the air. They were perfectly sautéed! For dinner we had the tenderloin steak and the 7 hour braised short rib. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the short rib was lean but still melted in your mouth. Both were so delicious! The Jazz musicians were so talented and played beautifully last night. We will definitely be back! One suggestion for the musicians if they are regular players there. I would suggest a QR code for the tip delivery as only a couple people there seemed to have cash to tip.

    The place was very relaxing starting with the fesh clean smell and the jazz music. Service was OK as our server was on auto mode. Didn’t really pay attention to the order and just decided on her own. Didn’t really check how we wanted our prime rib. But all other area it was an amazing experience. Will come back for sure.
