Welcome to Anthony’s at the Old Mill District! Overlooking the busy Deschutes River, our menu features fresh Northwest seafood complemented by Northwest designer steaks and fresh in season produce.     Our server Zoey was the best. She was very attentive and went the extra mile to provide a wonderful dining experience. Our lobster and MahiMahi dinners were great.

    We had dinner for four at 5 p.m. on Monday, January 6, at Anthony's in Bend. This chain restaurant is located on the river in the Old Mill District. The place was already busy at 5 p.m. for the early bird 3:30-5:30 p.m. $33 three-course meal. Two of us ordered from that menu featuring a so-so petrale sole almondine, and the Northwest salmon duet was good. A small dollop of salmon dip appetizer was served with two crackers, capers, and sliced onion. The other appetizer chosen was clam chowder served in a tiny cup. My meal was generous and crunchy coconut prawns served over chopped mango salad, delicious swordfish served over limp soggy pasta, and no vegetables. The request to the kitchen for a serving of vegetables was forgotten. My husband ordered a generous serving of lukewarm pan-fried oysters accompanied by Brussels sprouts. The fixed-price dessert included creme brulee or a chocolate mousse. Both were fine. The wine was Stoller Chardonnay which revived our palate. Our server was attentive and apologetic for the wait time for our meal.

    All was good, just as expected. Delicious food, great wait staff. We always look forward to our time at Anthony’s!

    It was a disappointing evening out with friends. My husband’s $44 crab fettuccine had TWO small shreds of crab in it. He decided to tell the server that it was unacceptable. She was helpful and returned with a small plate of crab. Luckily, we were with good friends, as sending food back to the kitchen or requesting modification is embarrassing and should not have to happen. I had a Cobb salad that virtually had about eight tiny shrimp, perhaps a tablespoon of cheese and a tablespoon of avocado in it. After my husband asked to make his meal right I decided to just let mine go. We spent over $100 tonight on some of the most mediocre food in town We usually eat at Anthony’s several times a year, we live in Bend year-round but are reluctant to return because each visit over the past year has been more and more disappointing.

    Reservation at 5 pm. Arrived at 4:45. They were unable to seat us despite an empty dining room. Finally called back at 5:10. Food OK but not special considering the price.

    Really good food. A bit pricey for a chain restaurant. View of the river is nice. Clam chowder is spectacular, Drinks were better than most places in Bend. They give a nice size drink and fill the glasses more than average. Would like to see more Oregon wines by the glass.
