If you're going to take your name from a badass like the patron saint of blacksmiths, you better be able to back it up. Baldamar marks the turning point where we usher in the new standard for style, service and steak. It means the menu’s made with old-world craft at its core and modern day meat eaters in mind — with flavors forged in fire and folded into pure primal perfection. It’s where every steak is aged 40 days and 40 nights for a taste of biblical proportion, and where crazy-fresh seafood means it was caught during your morning commute. At the bar sits every spirit imaginable, and someone who isn’t afraid to use them. This is more than a new steakhouse. It’s a line in the sand. It’s not just where you celebrate special occasions. It’s where you create them.

    This experience embodied everything that is exceptional service from the Hostess when we walked in the door until a thank you from another server that was not ours on the way to the door for our departure. We were celebrating a Birthday and engagement and this was the perfect place for our special day. Felix did a fantastic job taking care of us and 100% would go back for a repeat of this once-in-a-lifetime day. Thank you Thank you Thank you!

    Our server Milan was excellent. He excellent in his food and wine choices. Both recommendations were backed up with detailed descriptions and for the wine he provided very specific reasons for suggesting specific wines to pair well with our steaks. The bourbon bacon was fantastic as always. The ribeye w/ blue cheese crumbles on top was delicious. Definitely recommend and will definitely return when back in Minneapolis.

    Great decor and ambiance, dark and clubby without being pretentious. Highly capable staff, attentive and professional. Consistently great food and drink - they make a wonderful sidecar, and the brussel sprouts appetizer is amazingly flavorful and perfectly cooked. Always a great time, have introduced a number of folks to this terrific establishment.
