Bardea, pronounced: bar-DAY-ah, is the Italian term for "the goddess of food and drink." The stunning, 120-seat restaurant utilizes ingredients from local Delaware Valley farms and purveyors, and features modern interpretations of traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes. In 2019, Bardea Food & Drink received a semifinalist nomination in the James Beard Foundation's "Best New Restaurant" category.

    We love bardea- the food is inventive, delicious, and always changing. I did notice the portions were considerably smaller on the tri tip with Guava Bernaise- a particular favorite we get when we're there. I know things are tough all over, but this was the only disappointing thing in a spectacular meal. I recently heard they were up for a James Beard award and I could not be more excited for them- it's just always a lovely night out.

    Great meal as always. We highly recommend the chicken parm bao bun. It was delicious. You just can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and Emily is the best. Service was excellent and attentive. Thanks for another evening.

    Bardea never disappoints! Delicious food, perfectly paired wine, and excellent service keep us coming back time and again. We particularly enjoyed the avocado, calamari, and cauliflower on this visit although we’ve never tried anything that we didn’t like. Thank you for a memorable Valentine’s dinner. Can’t wait to try your sister restaurants!

    The warm ambiance (Valentine’s Day) inviting aroma and friendly staff set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. My server was great, Food was delicious and portions just the right size.

    The only complaint I have is that the restaurant gets LOUD! Everything else was awesome!

    Food was hit and miss, most dishes were excellent but a couple were not good , undercooked or overly sweet. Staff removed both dishes from the bill.

    I was excited to come to this place as it receives good reviews. We ordered two different pastas. Mine was the scallops and shrimp pasta. I was very disappointed with the dish as it contained 99.9% linguini and only a few tiny tiny slivers (!) of shrimp and scallops. When I offered feedback about this feedback, the hostess came to apologize and explain that this was a brand new dish and that she would take my feedback to the Chef. She offered to take the dish of the check which was a very nice gesture. Even with that, I will not return to Bardea. The dishes are all extremely small (to be fair, they state up front when you order that all dishes are small, like "tapa style") and very expensive for the size. I have eaten at tapa restaurants...in such restaurants, the dishes are priced according to the size. Certainly not $25 for a tiny bit of pasta. If they want to be a tapa style restaurant, then they should 1) state this on their web page so that people can make an informed decision whether or not they would like to dine at this restaurant (right now, it only says plates are designed to be shared) and 2) adjust their prices to tapa style prices. Be warned: expect to spend close to $100 for one person if you don't want to go home hungry!
