Established in 2011, Barrio Queen combines authentic service with traditional Mexican flavors to create an immersive and satisfying dining experience. We loved it! Loved our server, the guac, and the tacos! We come here everytime we are in town.

Food is good, service was terrible. I am from out of town this restaurant was recommended for the food. I made a reservation and was sat in the bar area. Not enough staff to serve the area. I would have ordered another drink but no one ever came to check on us. Music was extremely loud. The air blows directly at each table and I asked if we could move and was told no. I asked if they could turn up the air and it never cut off the whole time we were there. We would have been better off sitting outside and it was cooler outside.

We love the Barrio Queen. We took guests from out of town and they loved the food, the patio outside and the total experience. Our waitress, Maria, was wonderful.

This was our first time here and it was great! We went for happy hour and had great margaritas and HH food. Our table ordered the 2-$5 tacos, chicken quesadillas, and the poblano pepper/chicken dish. All were so yummy and plenty of food. The hostesses were so accommodating and our server was “on -point”, taking great care of us and continually checking if we needed anything. We will definitely go back.

The drinks were the highlight of the experience. I ordered a Paloma, which they prepare tableside-a nice touch in theory, but in practice, a mess. The server kept realizing he was missing ingredients and had to leave to get them multiple times, which made the whole process feel disorganized and frustrating. The food itself was decent but, unfortunately, it arrived cold, which took away from the overall enjoyment. As for the service, it left a lot to be desired. At one point, I politely asked the person who brought our food if he could clear a dirty plate to give our party of eight a little more space. Instead of helping, he flat-out refused, pointing to himself and signaling "no" as he walked. It was bizarre and honestly, off-putting. Between the disorganized drinks, cold food, and lackluster service, the experience just wasn't worth it. Safe to say, I wont be coming back.

Quality of their food is terrible! I’ve been eating here for 5 years on and off. I brought my nephew who was visiting thinking it would be an outstanding experience. Boy was I wrong! The hostess and server were nice enough but the most important thing in any restaurant is the food. It sucked! The steak fajitas were awful, the meat was super tough not tender. My nephew barely ate it. No flavor! Doesn’t fajitas come with cheese? No cheese. I ordered for $20 what I thought was the prime rib enchiladas, I asked the waitress if this is the tender shredded type yummy meat, she assured me yes! Well, no it was small amounts of gross tough meat placed sparely on shogging corn tortillas. Yuck, no flavor, I asked for hot sauce, it didn’t help. Embarrassing entree for $20. So when the waitress asked us how is everything I did tell her the fajitas sucked as they were very tough and not tender like they used to me. I told her overall I wasn’t happy. Her response was yes we changed the meat on the fajitas about a month ago and have been hearing that a lot from other customers. We got our bill and paid and I will never go back! Gross wouldn’t feed their food to my dogs! Do not recommend, many other options in ole town.

Easy to find an outdoor table. Food is good with a bit loud music. Ambience is also ok. Service is fast.

The hostess was friendly & funny. Our waiter, Fred, was very nice and prompt. The waiter (I regret that I can’t remember his name) who took over for Fred was outstanding. My son was running very late to join us & the waiter was accommodating & went well out of his way to make sure my son’s food was warm upon his arrival, as we had ordered ahead for him. The crane asada burritos were good (we all ordered the same thing), but mine & my brother’s were both cold inside, which seemed odd as burritos, as we know them, are usually hot & a bit gooey. The staff made up for the temperature of the food.
