Shepherds pie and spicy chicken burger were good quality, not too large and well presented. Most people were very happy with their meal.

Lovely food in a lovely setting. The new owners have quickly done well in providing quality and a good choice of food and drink. Plenty of outdoor seating in the garden with a stream at the bottom and well worth a visit

This is a v nice pub with friendly and pleasant staff. There's a stream in the garden albeit next to a busy road. I really wanted to like it but it was massively let down by the food. Mains took over an hour to arrive and I'd rather mine hadn't come at all as I couldn't eat it. My friends' food wasn't much better. Good luck getting things back on track.

Hi Will, Thanks for your review, We have just taken on the Bathurst arms and unfortunately we didn't meet your expectations so I apolagise for that. When we took over the Pub we had no head Chef and this would have been the reason for your poor experience. We now have taken on a new Chef and I hope to Wellcome you back to the Bathurst so we can rectify your poor experience. Thank you and hope to see you again soon. The Bathurst team

Very disappointing. We waiting 15 minutes at the bar for our drinks and it wasn’t busy. The chips were cold and soggy and we weren’t asked if we needed additional drinks, we had to get someone’s attention. They also added a 10% service charge which we were not made aware of.

On arrival greeted by warm, friendly staff and offered a choice of tables. Large and interesting menu and drinks list. Service and food were excellent Look forward to returning.

Most of the food was really excellent with care taken over special dietary needs; the fish and chips, however, was disappointing. We will be coming back but might not have the fish.

Excellent home cooked food. Staff very polite. The only reason for not giving this a 5 star review is that we booked this table days in advance but we were seated on our own in a large dining area so no atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for the food.
