Out of passion, tradition, hard work and integrity, Bavaro’s opened its doors in March 2009 as the first traditional Neapolitan Pizzeria in the state of Florida. Determined to share their family recipes with the world, Dan Bavaro, his wife Anna-Maria, and their five beautiful children packed their U-Haul, left their friends and family, drove from New Jersey to Tampa, and set out to provide for others the same love, energy, and authenticity that they experience around their own dinner table.

Si no se tiene reservación, te dejan esperando por horas como un 0 a la izquierda y ni siquiera te muestran una sonrisa, tuvimos que reservar ahí mismo para poder comer, no tienen todas las variedades de otros Babaros, viajamos una hora porque nos gustó mucho cuando estuvimos en el de Tampa, Pero a este de Sarasota no vamos más.

Had a reservation but still had to wait for over 20 minutes for a table to become available. There is an outdoors, upstairs and main floor indoors. If you choose the main floor indoors, you will have to wait for one of the 2 table available to become free, or 2 high top table become available. If the parties do not finish you wait. As per the host the issue is the reservation app that allows a guest to choose without any information on what's to come. In Florida indoors and outdoors makes a difference, but not upstairs or downstairs. Especially if there is limited seating in the main floor indoors. I was told by the host to choose all three sections to be seated when one table becomse available.

We visit this restaurant regularly and love it but last night was a bit of a disaster. Non existent bar service as they had trainees behind the bar. 15 minutes to get a glass of wine and then it was warm. No complaints about the staff they were trying their best. We moved to a table and our waitress was very apologetic and actually got our second drinks herself. Then one of our party's meal didn't arrive until we were halfway through ours. When it did she sent it back as it was not cooked properly. Hoping this was just a one off!!

This place is usually a home run for a nice dinner. This time was awful. Service awful. Food. Late and cold. It was fun to watch other tables get their food and live vicariously through them. We were even so lucky to see tables turn before we got our appetizers. Seriously. This place was bad tonight. Went to Publix on the way home and got dinner.

The food was fine but the service was awful. They are understaffed and under trained. It took 35 minutes to get water and much longer for drinks, apps and our dinner. The garlic bread was very good as was the pizza

My seafood pasta was great. My husband’s pizza came out room temperature-TWICE! Server didn’t even notice or seem to care to make sure it was hot after we sent it back once.

Went on Valentine’s Day so maybe they were just busy but the pizza was burnt on the outside, soaking wet from oil and the crust while burnt wasn’t cooked all the way through and was doughy. Pasta was good but you could tell it had just been sitting out for awhile before serving. Only positive from our experience were the drinks which took forever to get but they were tasty. Probably won’t go back because the food was not worth it.

First impression was great! Our server was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the pizza, chopped salad Nd drinks! We will return to try their fresh pasta!
