Out of passion, tradition, hard work and integrity, Bavaro’s opened its doors in March 2009 as the first traditional Neapolitan Pizzeria in the state of Florida. Determined to share their family recipes with the world, Dan Bavaro, his wife Anna-Maria, and their five beautiful children packed their U-Haul, left their friends and family, drove from New Jersey to Tampa, and set out to provide for others the same love, energy, and authenticity that they experience around their own dinner table.

Si no se tiene reservación, te dejan esperando por horas como un 0 a la izquierda y ni siquiera te muestran una sonrisa, tuvimos que reservar ahí mismo para poder comer, no tienen todas las variedades de otros Babaros, viajamos una hora porque nos gustó mucho cuando estuvimos en el de Tampa, Pero a este de Sarasota no vamos más.

Thank you Doug for the wonderful first time customer service with a smile experience. The pizza was fabulous with a yummy side of spaghetti. Oh, that Limonell shot was perfect for end of meal. Also, love the outside music with Bryan Spainhower... An exceptional soloist... Just LoVeD... Thank you and hope to be back soon. With appreciation L and A

Unfortunately this was not a good meal this time at Bavarros. Pasta was overcooked in one dish, pizza came out with wrong toppings on another, and one dish was forgotten all together and was finally brought out after the other four in the party had eaten. Waitress disappeared for long stretches. If it wasn’t for another server coming to check on us we would have had barely any attention at all.

We have gone to Bavaro’s many times before tonight. After we ordered we asked the server if we can get some bread, which was always given without asking. The server looked puzzled by our request but eventually gave use five small pieces of bread on a plate. When I received the check there was a $6 charge for the bread. It wouldn’t have bothered me if the server explained that there would be a charge but he didn’t. It was very sad to be taken advantage of by the staff. By the way…the bread wasn’t worth half that price.

Hurry over to Bavaro's Pizza Napolitana in Sarasota for the best and most delicious wood-fired pizza you will find. In addition to the best pizza,the unique offerings on their menu are absolutely delicious, all prepared to order & served with care by the wonderful staff. Be sure to save room for dessert as they make their own cannolis in-house (even the shells), tiramisu and more. Suggest to book a reservation on weekends where they also have live music on the patio. It's a dining experience you'll want to repeat; we go every Friday night and no place else compares. Mangia & enjoy.

We order pizza napolitana it was under cooked and the sauce was running, the risotto with scallops was not that great, the arugula salad need it more dressing , we asked for more and they charged $2.00 for it. This place is not that good for the price

Food was excellent. Service was friendly but slow or non-existent. We were the only ones sitting inside (outside had a large party and other tables) and it still took 5 minutes to be greeted. Lots of staff were walking around. It was 5:30pm. Bartender finally came over and took our order. Food was was dropped off by a server. Empty drinks and no offers to refill as nobody stopped to check on us. Staff was everywhere. We moved our plates to the edge of the table so they knew we were done and waited patiently for someone to come back and bring the check. Food was so good that we will definitely give it another chance.
