   Overall, the food was interesting and tasty, the service good and surroundings relaxing. However, I found a number of the dishes to be overpriced, considering the ingredients and portion size. The Dashi broth @ £27, which consisted of a variety of vegetables in a light broth and the Tempura @£25, which again was just deep-fried vegetables in a tempura batter, were, in my opinion not good value and significantly overpriced. Pluses on the night were the guest wines, which were interesting, fruity and fragrant, and the two fish dishes were pleasant and appetising. Looking forward, either the price bracket of the main courses needs to be reconsidered or more interesting ingredients should be added to the dish, to warrant the cost.

   This is my favourite restaurant in St Leonard’s without a doubt . It is beautifully set out with an open kitchen , low lighting and background music . The food is always absolutely delicious. I love that they use the finest , freshest, local and seasonal ingredients and they always produce the most sublime tasting dish’s. The staff are welcoming and attentive even though they are constantly on the go and they all have great knowledge of the food & drink they’re serving you. Can’t recommend more highly, it’s always a treat to come here .

   The service ,ambience and of course the food were all great. It's a lovely, airy space.There are always new and interesting combinations.

   This was a faultless experience. Great service, delicious, inventive food, warm and friendly atmosphere. BAYTE isn't cheap but is very much worth every penny. This was a special occasion and it was truly special.

   We had an amazing meal at Bayte. The panelle and pickled veg were delicious, the Magnolia Martini was magical, all the wonderful pasta dishes were exceptional and the two mains we barely managed to finish were also very good. But the nibbles and the starters (and the bread) really are the stars here. The brown shrimp butter sauce on the nettle and ricotta agnolotti was truly incredible.
