                                                                        So our evening actually began with reservation at a high priced steakhouse chain restaurant across the street. It was a reservation we never would have made, save for a gift card from my family member for Christmas. We arrived at the other place and immediateñy were put off by the staff, ambiance and overall vibe. Suffice to say it was bad enough that we left within 5 minutes of arrival. We've wanted to try Bennett's for sometime, and we were fortunate enough to grab a late reservation. The meal was, in a word: superb! Both my wife's salmon, and my porterhouse were cooked to perfection. The steak was so good, in fact, that it rivaled the best steaks enjoyed all over Europe this summer (París, Florence and the not-so-secret culinary pilgrimage of Donostia/San Sebastián). Everything was perfectly seasoned, and the service was also outstanding. Suffice it to say we will be back many times.

                                                                        Always a wonderful meal at Bennett's. Wide variety of choices. Nice happy hour. I'm still shocked though by the cost of eating out. It's not unique to Bennett's. I guess with increased labor costs and food prices it's costing us twice as much.

                                                                        Always enjoy Bennett’s but this visit was a little off. There were 4 of us and one entree was lacking in taste while the other 3 were very good just like we’ve experienced in the past. Also, we tried the Apple Crisp and found it to be lacking as well. The apples were very hard and the crust was almost tasteless. Don’t recommend it but the chocolate layer cake was excellent. Also found the service slow this visit. But, fear not, we’ll be back!!

We come here about once a month and have noticed the food is still cooked to the right temperature but it has been lacking in flavor in our last couple visits. Still a go to and hoping the flavor profiles get better. Cheers!

                                                                        I expected more than i expected of short ribs. Maybe the way presented. Also before we left and the visit before there was a strong smell of fish that was smelling terrible. Smelled like bad fish. Couldn’t wait to get out of restaurant.
