These beautiful, historic rooms - located on the first floor of our Harrogate tea room- are steeped in history and provide the perfect setting for our most exquisite afternoon tea.

You'll be serenaded by our pianist as you enjoy a lavish selection of dainty sandwiches, specially selected teas and irresistible miniature cakes and scones.

    An afternoon tea for four to celebrate a 21st birthday. Setting was lovely, food and drink was delicious and plentiful and our waitress was very attentive and offered lots of advice when choosing different teas.

    A stunning afternoon tea. They catered for our dietary requirements and we felt secure knowing that our food was safe for us to eat. The staff were excellent. Really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. A fantastic experience from start to finish.

    I visited this week with my daughter and my 8 year old granddaughter and we were made to feel comfortable and special from the moment we walked through the door. The food was delicious and the service was faultless. There is no air of stuffiness, which you might expect, and the whole team are experts in providing a luxurious experience and you leave feeling thoroughly spoilt. At £44.95 for afternoon tea you may consider it is expensive but you are paying for the whole experience and it really was a very special birthday treat.

    Afternoon tea was delicious, was lovely listening to music played on the piano while dining. Service was fantastic and lovely extra finishing touches!

    Our 2nd visit, and still a very special place to dine. The attention to detail and the relaxed ambience make this the ultimate afternoon tea

    Overall we were disappointed wouldn’t describe the afternoon tea as luxurious was just plain and simple our waitress was not as attentive as you would expect we would not recommend it to friends .

    It was a nice setting in the Imperial rooms. Table nicely laid out and staff very elegant in their uniforms. some of the food was a little disappointing. The milk roll was rather large and a bit chewy but the ham sandwiches were lovely and you could have extra sandwiches if needed which is a nice bonus. The scones although looked a little overdone were very nice and the desserts were extremely scrumptious. The service was a tad slow but the staff were nice and polite. Overall quite a nice afternoon tea if a tad expensive but not as good as I had expected. Would I go again?? might try a different Betty's to compare but not too sure.

    We had the 'champagne afternoon tea' on Valentines Day, worth the cost for a special day. Although the three layer plate doesn't look like much visually, there is plenty there to fill you up. And, it tastes amazing too.
