The DiSilvestro family uses their family recipes that have been passed down from grandmothers, uncles, fathers and cousins, going all the way back to their home in Loreto, Italy. The menu is filled with comforting Italian recipes that remind you of something your grandmother might make, as well as tasty pizza. In addition to relying on quality ingredients for all of Ynot Italian Restaurant’s recipes, the big secret to all of the local favorites is the sauce. The chefs visit local tomato farmers every year to select only the best for the secret sauce recipe. The same attention is poured into every detail that makes Ynot Italian Restaurant a suitable place to stop for lunch or dinner.

                                                                                      Me and my boyfriend went here for valentines day and it wasn't as busy as we thought, which was nice. Might I add that Nick was literally the BEST server I have ever had in my life. If he is there, you must request him. He just brought so much life! :) Super informational and honest.

                                                                                      Everyone that works there is great and really attentive. Unfortunately, the food is not good. The sauce on the pasta they serve tastes like it just comes out of a jar from the grocery store and the pasta seemed pre-made because the food was out in what felt like 5 mins. Also they had 2 different radio stations playing at the same time which was really annoying. I don't even know how that's possible.

                                                                                      We went there to have a nice Italian dinner. The server asked for our drink order. My husband and I ordered a beer and our friend a mixed drink. The server asked if we wanted a small or a large beet. I asked what the difference in the size was. She said one was a pint the other a "whaler" but she didn't know the size difference. I asked what the price difference was...she said no one ever asks about the price and she didnt know that either. We ordered the small...when she returned to the table she proceeded to drop the beer all over my husband. She then explained she needed elbow surgery and was not suppose to be carrying drinks....and the evening began. We switched tables after she returned and said they had no rags...she returned with ore napkins. She apologized..we ordered food, it was mediocre at best. We asked for bread and she quoted the price off the menu for garlic knots or cheesy bread.....no plain bread included We left feeling unsatisfied and feeling the menu items are overpriced.

                                                                                      we are new to VA Beach, and were exploring the beach town area and had lunch at Big Italy. Big Italy is seemingly three restaurants in one. loud, open, very average food ... wouldn't go back

                                                                                      A bowl was served but very little soup for $6.99.ok flavor but a little salty. The pizza was tasteless, even though we paid for 2 toppings. Small pizza and very little topping. Our waiter was great, but he couldn't make up for the poor food

                                                                                      The waitress was very attentive and nice. Service was excellent. The decor was a hodge podge of stereotypical Italian "tchotchkes". The food did not taste fresh. Not the best Italian food in the area by far. Even though the sign in the parking lot stated that parking was for patrons, we still got a warning on our vehicle.

                                                                                      We made a reservation during restaurant week and ended up getting their specials instead. We had the mussels appetizer as an entree and the beef special - can't recall the name. Both fantastic and will definitely go back

                                                                                      We found the food at Big Italy very good, but not great (except for the Caesar salad). The atmosphere was well done in keeping with the Italian theme, but it was way too noisy. We even changed our table from inside to out on the patio in the hopes of reducing the noise level so we could have conversation with our guests. Unfortunately two families came one after the other each with a screaming baby and toddler whom no one attempted to silence. Ruined our dining experience.
