Close to the Theatre Royal, Bill's is great for pre-show dinner or post-show drinks (or the other way around). Take your seats because the three-course show is about to begin. With classic recipes with a fresh twist you'll be shouting 'encore!', but don't worry, you can come back as many times as you like.

    First time here and it’s a really lovely restaurant, food was amazing, service was good and the ambience was nice. Warm welcome when we arrived and shown to our table straight away, there was a bit of a wait for the food but they were really busy and the food was worth the wait. The only thing that let the experience down slightly and it’s not that big of a deal but the drinks were served in the wrong glasses, I had a gin and tonic which was served in an ordinary wine glass, my partner had a bottle of beer which was brought out with a glass tumbler, which you would serve a squash in, just small things but it does ruin the drink slightly. The food was so good though, so we would return again

    Always enjoy Bills. We had burgers this time and all tasted lovely. Service was good, restaurant was packed out.

    Food and service were first class , it was as very busy but that didn’t deter the staff .

    Our servers were lovely and very friendly. The food was delicious and we all cleared our plates, even my daughter who is a very picky eater. We will definitely go back. One issue we had was Bill’s was very busy given it was half term and they had a kids eat free deal on which is why we booked. We weren’t able to be seated for nearly 20 minutes after we arrived as they had no tables free. It had a knock on effect for our afternoon as we were much later leaving than we had planned for meaning we had to skip our plans to make the train. Being more prepared for busy spells to ensure bookings aren’t delayed in being seated would be something I hope the team address in the future.

    Busy half term lunch time so wait times were to be expected. Food order arrived with a wrong dish which took a while to be remade. My food was not at all hot. Also lacked general seasoning which surprised me. Kids pasta meatballs was really intensely flavoured, my three year old wouldn’t eat it. Overall kind of fine, but not really up to par

    Service unorganised and left waiting almost an hour for dessert which we only got because I found someone to ask about it, of which they completely forgot. Also my partner kept getting water dripped on her from the pipes about our head. The food was good but definitely wouldn’t go back for the price paid.

    Our overall experience was good although most of our food was very cold when served to us. Especially all the small plates. Staff were super friendly and attentive.

    Despite having a reservation we waited quite a few minutes to be shown to our table. The team were friendly but service was slow and the wait between courses was long. The food was acceptable but not as good as our previous visits to Bills.

    Despite booking a table, we had to wait outside in the cold for 15 minutes before even being able to get in the door. When we finally were greeted, there was no apology, and the service throughout was the bare minimum. Yes, it was busy but there is no excuse for this. The food was very nice but it was appalling to add a service charge of 12.5% when we waited outside and had indifferent service. Really disappointing. There are many other pubs and restaurants I'm Bath, and I certainly won't be back to Bill's l. Nobody will read this or even care which is such a shame. I was treating my teenage son to lunch and wish I'd gone elsewhere

    Quite a few of our party weren't too pleased with their food, one main had to be sent back! Everything just seemed very average.
