Ordered the Slow Roasted Tri Tip. It was tough. I was offered a different meal but declined. The manager took it off my bill. All the other food was very good. Especially the ribs. We were a large group of 12. However it took forever just to have our waiter take our order. And a very very long time for our food to come out. My salmon was room temp. Not hot at all. Then, later a few people ordered dessert and at the same time I asked for the check because service was so slow and didn’t want to have to wait longer for the check. We waiting a while and Waiter brought our check but no desserts. We had to remind him about dessert that was ordered. Waiting a while again and desserts finally came out. My kids have had experiences at the same restaurant where the service was extremely slow. And the two times I was there service was slow. Made a reservation 30 days before. Arrived on time and waited over 30 minutes to be seated when there were open spots. Management was confused on table assignments, put tables together, and finally put us back in the corner next to the takeout desk. Server was good. The only minor complaint was that they can place you at a bar table even if you booked ahead with a reservation. We asked the waitress if this was normal practice and she said it was. Since the bar wasn't too crowded, it didn't affect our experience too much, but the booth was kind of tight for 4 persons, and it didn't leave us any room to put our coats anywhere (they do not offer a place to hang your coat). I really think those tables should be for the walk ins and not people who took the time to book ahead. I've never encountered such a policy at any other restaurant. Food was pretty good overall. My soup appetizer wasn't very hot but tasted really good. My prime rib was ordered as medium, but came out medium-well done. Had a reservation for 11 people booked through OpenTable. We were celebrating family birthdays. The restaurant contacted me that day to see what type of table we would prefer - high top or regular. The table, and all the place settings were ready when we arrived. The waitress was attentive and amazing. She made sure everyone was happy with their meal, drinks and desserts.
