The overall service was slow. Repeated requests for water and drinks were needed. Waiter left mid service. Coffee was left on the counter and was cold after query made where it was. We were very disappointed in the overall experience considering the cost of the meal. We will mot be r returning for another meal at this restaurant.Very disappointing as it was our 40tj wedding anniversary.

The restaurant has a modern and classy decor. The service was reasonable, except trying to get water refills. The downfall was when the steaks arrive to your table, they are PRE-CUT! Who does that? The fillet was cut into 3 pieces and the ribeye was cut into 5 pieces. I ordered the ribeye medium rare and it was medium, my wife ordered filet medium, and it came out medium rare (almost bordering on rare). I asked the manager why they precut the steaks and he said that is the way "we have always done it." The fillet was $85 and the ribeye was $98. The only thing I could think of is the cooks have not been trained properly and can't cook steaks correctly...so they cut the steaks before they serve it (they still got the temperature wrong!) To the managers credit he did take the ribeye off the bill. For a high-end steak house the precut policy is ridiculous.

The whole experience was superb fantastic decor lovely table warm welcome outstanding service and the food was just beautiful - the young person who looked after us at our table was simply delightful and so attentive - nothing was a problem We look forward to going again soon

Service & Atmosphere was exceptional. We ordered the scallops & ribs as a starter. Scallops were quite tough, not your usual melt in your mouth kind. Ribs were very good but for almost $40 you only get a few slices of meat. Mains we ordered the dry aged rib fillet & 5+ wagyu eye fillet. Both steaks were very good. The dry aged is a lot tougher than the wagyu. Cocktails were very tasty! Be prepared to spend $400+. It was great to try but we won’t be returning & prefer our larger portion pub feeds for a third of the price and just as tasty!

After a great first experience we rebooked and returned with a party of 10. The service was poor and slow. Waiter was flustered and didn’t check on the table often. Food didn’t arrive until 8:20 after being seated at 6:15. Multiple steaks weren’t cooked how we requested. large amount of confusion over what was gluten free and differed from what was noted on the menu.

Highly recommend Black Hide at QUEENS WHARF! We sat outside with a stunning view of the river and Southbank, food was superb, friendly attentive staff and great wine selection. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

Beautiful meal. Husband and I went on our first date in 3 years , sans children and Black Hide was the perfect location. We had 2 entrees and 2 mains and shared which was perfect. Will definitely return.

Max and Marilyn made our evening with their exceptional service and attention to detail. Given the open plan, being seated near the kitchen was very loud and detracted from the intimate dinner we were looking for - as it was not really busy, might want to leave those tables for walk ins or when really busy. The steak was exceptional.
