Bloom Southern Kitchen is a farm to table restaurant located in the historic Eagle Tavern, a local landmark since 1702.

Bloom’s teams are focused on delivering an incredible dining experience that begins in the kitchen with local ingredients. Dining in our restaurant transports you to the south where charming hospitality and incredible cocktails await.

Due to our commitment to using seasonal and local ingredients, our menu items may change based on availability.

We’re open daily for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. We welcome you to our restaurant and look forward to serving you.

    Good food and service. Went for happy hour which is only in the bar area. Bar was very loud due to a raucous group of guys. Hard to hear conversations across the table so if you want to talk get a table in the dining room.

    Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes for a table. We were told that upstairs would be quieter than downstairs dining. However, the acoustics were such that a noisy party of four adults made it almost impossible to communicate with my husband without shouting at him. We each ordered a glass of the higher priced white wine in two different types. Both were nondescript. The food was good, but overpriced for what they were. We had a better experience at Bloom when we went to happy hour and had a couple of cocktails and some appetizers at the bar.

    Part of the dining area was closed due to damage from a recent burst pipe. Food portions were large and good. However, the server was not well organized in his duties.

    We were there for a birthday lunch and were treated to complimentary Prosecco! The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was really delicious. Especially enjoyed the fried oysters, short rib chili, and collard greens!

    Bloom’s food is exceptional! We shared roasted Brussels sprouts, fried chicken & waffle, and the shrimp & grits. Also, the martinis were delicious, they made the blue cheese olives for us! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant.

    We like Bloom and has guests in town we also thought would enjoy. Unfortunately their dining room was sealed off with plastic for repairs but the website did not mention it which was disappointing.

    Our server has terrible at his job, including a lack of urgency. The whole party agreed that even a 10% tip was extremely generous. Wish the service had been much better.
