Bloom Southern Kitchen is a farm to table restaurant located in the historic Eagle Tavern, a local landmark since 1702.

Bloom’s teams are focused on delivering an incredible dining experience that begins in the kitchen with local ingredients. Dining in our restaurant transports you to the south where charming hospitality and incredible cocktails await.

Due to our commitment to using seasonal and local ingredients, our menu items may change based on availability.

We’re open daily for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. We welcome you to our restaurant and look forward to serving you.

    Well, we had a really nice experience and it was very relaxing. We were  a little bit disappointed in the waffles. The menu does not say they’re fried waffles and when we received them, they were deep fried and just really not what I expected, and I didn’t really taste like a waffle so I could not eat them.  if I knew they were deep fried, I would not have ordered them.

    This was our first time at Bloom and we'll be back. From the very nice hostesses to the fantastic bartender to the server - not to mention the food - was above expectations. We had a pre-dinner drink at the bar which was lovely. And Oh My! the whiskey and bourbon selection was amazing. The food was spectacular - fried green tomatoes and deviled eggs, chix and waffles for him and shrimp and grits for me - all w/o fault. Well, having lived in the South for 25 years before relocating, I'd of loved to see pimento cheese w/the tomatoes. And banana pudding to go - wow! that made for a tasty breakfast.

    A definite YES! Food was excellent! Highly recommend the shrimp and grits with brussel sprouts!

    Bloom was fabulous!! My friend and I met for lunch, and we enjoyed a wonderful charcuterie and a phenomenal lunch. I had the wedge salad; my friend had the shrimp po-boy - we both finished our plates! Our server was animated and knowledgeable, which made the meal quite enjoyable. Will definitely return!!

    My husband and I came here for Valentine's day and overall had a great time. The food, drinks, and overall atmosphere were fantastic. The highlights of the evening were the hushpuppies and the chicken and waffles. The collared greens were also probably the best I've had in my entire life. Unfortunately, I had to take a star off of my review for two notes. While our reservation was at 7:30pm, we weren't seated until 7:50 (understandably, it was busy for Valentine's Day.) We placed our drink orders around 8:00 p.m. and appetizer and entree orders around 8:25 p.m. Unfortunately, we didn't get drinks until about 8:45, appetizers until about 9:30, and entrees until about 10:00. While our waitress let us know that since everything is scratch-made, certain dishes may take longer; we didn't anticipate not eating until 10:00 that night. We ended up filling ourselves with the appetizers due to the long wait for the entree. It's a shame because everything we ate was absolutely incredible and was definitely not as impactful heated up the next day. The only other negative to mention is that the enclosed porch area's seating is really tight quarters. I understand the cozy feel, and it's possible more seating was added for Valentine's day, but it was pretty crowded and a bit uncomfortable at times. In the future, we would either make a reservation for the main dining room or get takeout since the food was just too good to not come back.

    Hello Hallie! First I would like to thank you for offering feedback for our restaurant. We absolutely had our hands full for Valentine's Day; would have loved to execute orders in a better timely matter, so thank you for bringing it to our attention. We love our scratch kitchen, and the Chicken and Waffles dish is definitely a favorite dish; also the longest to prepare... We are working on how to speed up service on busier days, so please come back to join us; sounds like the food was a hit, and that makes us very happy to hear : ) We very much hope to see you again!
