   Wonderful dinning experience located on the waterfront in Gig Harbor. Nice menu and the size of the restaurant is perfect. Brix has a very quaint and intimate feel and a lovely quiet atmosphere. One of my favorite places to dine for a special occasion.

   We had a great meal with exceptional service. This was a special occasion. Usually when you put a note into OpenTable, most places don’t bother to make your visit special. Not Brixe25! We were greeted with champagne and told to wait at the bar while our table was prepped. Our appetizers were exceptional, as were both entrees. The braised beef melted in my mouth. Two desserts (of course!) and a nice card on the table rounded out a nice night out with the hubby. One BIG problem: there was an obnoxious table that knewthey were loud and announced their loudness to the entire restaurant. “We’re the loudest table in the room…for now!” said the dude to the server. Hahaha…not. Another table shot them looks, which didn’t matter. One woman at a the obnoxious table glared back and the woman at a neighboring table, holding her stare rather than being embarrassed and simmering down. I could NOT hear my husband. They heard me say this to my husband and laughed. The guy at the table said loudly “Well it’s my BIRTHDAY so I can be as loud as I want!” IMHO, this should have been handled by management. Everyone was annoyed. No one did a thing. Once the loud woman started dropping f-bombs, I ended up shouting “enough” and telling her to stop. She glared back at me and the entire table laughed. Way to spoil a special occasion.

   We liked the place. However, she ordered her hamburger medium well……it came almost rare. I had mussels. The mussels were fine but the sauce was terrible. The waitress was good but when my wife ordered salt and pepper she only bought salt. All in all not a great eating experience.

   First time and it was wonderful! Lindsey and Evelyn took great care of us! Definitely worth the drive from Issaquah!

   We were charmed by our first visit to Brix 25 on a misty Sunday evening. We enjoyed the privacy of the quieter ambiance of the upstairs dining room (except for one loud guest who finally left). The food was inventive, tasty, utterly top-notch, especially the mussels in sofrito (best mussels ever!) and the smoked octopus which was exquisitely tender and flavorful. Our server (Gaia M) was helpful, knowledgeable, attentive -- a total pro despite the several tables she had to cover. At some places, especially in smaller towns and cities, Sunday evening dinner is an after-thought (if there is service at all). Brix 25 was clicking on all cylinders and we were among the beneficiaries. Kudos all around!

    Our server was absolutely fantastic! The hosts went above and beyond to honor and acknowledge our reservation requests for seating... They had non-alcoholic mocktails, which was really nice since I'm currently pregnant and avoiding alcohol. The food had some stand outs- We adored the made-in-house sourdough bread and artisan compound butter (blackberry balsamic ganache 😍), the filet mignon special, the mushroom parmesan campanelle, and the dessert special peanut butter blondie with salted caramel ice cream and blackberry jam. 🤤 I ordered the dark chocolate "creme brulee" and was surprised that I really did not like it. I'm a dark chocolate fan but it was really bitter and not balanced with enough sweetness or salt or maybe both. I admitted my feelings to our excellent server when she asked and she immediately took care of it and offered me something else. I tried the tiramisu instead and it was delicious! The Buttercream and the Chantilly cream with the cocoa nibs were just wonderful. The "ladyfingers" were weirdly dense, like flat pancakes... but the cream was so good, we still really enjoyed it. We also tried the wilted arugula salad and the hamachi crudo which were both solid but not favorites. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We were treated so well and the food was overall very worth the price. We can't wait to come back!
