    Exceptional for any occasion. The Friday fish fry was by far the best I’ve ever had, and there aren’t any “misses” on the menu. Excellent staff and service as well.

    Buck & Honey's Waunakee is a nice restaurant, but most Friday and Saturday nights are extremely loud making it difficult to have a conversation with your spouse & friends. Contributing to this are lots of families and a bar area with noise equal to any down on State Street. They could do with more sound deadening in the building. It has a nice local atmosphere with photos of old Waunakee people and locations and the food quality is above average but not outstanding. Lately they have shrunk their wine list eliminating a number of good choices possibly because they sell more beer than wine. Beside the meal, the wait staff are top notch and very personable always greeting you with a smile and despite being very busy, willing to spend a couple of extra minutes to interact with guests.

    We dine here very often and always have an enjoyable dining experience. Last visit the service and timing of our meal was perfect. The only negative was that the scallops were over cooked and chewy. Risotto accompanying the scallops was expertly prepared, so don’t understand what happened. Was so hungry that we ate it up and didn’t complain. Hope to have better luck next time as this was my favorite go to menu item. We will be back Tom & Sammy.

    My wife always chooses the ribs and she loves them. Other than pizza I have a hard time finding something on the menu. Bacon wrapped dates are always excellent.....curds are also good.

    Excellent food and service. A great old lighted tree gives excellent ambiance. The only suggestion on my part is that thicker shades are needed for those facing the sunset. It is very, very bright!
