Expect the finest wood-fired premium cuts, craft tacos & Tex-Mex standards, fresh tortillas made in house daily, roasted oysters, and the finest smoked brisket outside of Austin. Since opning in 2015, Butchertown Hall has amassed a reputation for the finest margarita this side of San Antonio. Butchertown Hall is local restaurateur Terry Raley’s vision of modern barbeque, inspired by the Central Texas meat market culture in which he grew up, and the late 19th-century butcher shop pursuits of this very neighborhood. Making extensive use of both an open fire hearth and a custom-built high-capacity smoker, we patiently cook soulful, exciting food.

Open 7 days a week for dinner and weekend brunch. Join us in our glorious indoor or outdoor space! We also feature an expansive courtyard, complete with a list of specialty craft brews, superior margaritas and craft cocktails, and an extensive agave collection.

I really like for my food to be hot when it come out to the table. The bread we order was room temperature and my soup was barely warm.

Butchertown Hall was amazing while they hosted my group of 15 for my bachelorette party! Food and service were top notch! Thank you all so much for taking such good care of my group!

Ally was a great server! She made great suggestions without hassling us to spend extra! The queso was our favorite with the brussels being a close second. The house margarita was nothing to write home about and I would definitely go with a different drink on a return visit. The burger was really good and the steak was perfectly cooked. We will return for sure! It is loud in there, but we were prepared for that.

Was assigned a terrible table by the kitchen with reservations and asked to be moved to the main area but apparently 2 tops take precedence over larger parties of 3. Was moved to the patio but the smoke from the smoker was so overpowering they were turning on fans and opening doorways but didn't help. Our eyes were watering and we smelled like smoke the entire night even after we left.

The food was almost entirely inedible. The brisket was dry and almost impossible to chew. The waitress was great and that was about the only good thing I can say about my experience there. I would not recommend the place to anyone.
