Join Cafe D'Alsace's Executive Chef, Philippe Roussel, in celebrating the 90th birthday of culinary legend, Jacques Pépin. This exclusive and intimate dinner will be hosted by Chef Philippe in our private dining room, featuring a five-course menu and wine pairing, with proceeds going directly to aid the Jacques Pèpin Foundation, who fund grants, educational resources and community kitchens across the world. Tickets are priced at $380, plus tax and gratuity. Any additional items ordered on the night will be charged separately.

Disfrutamos cada bocado. Está muy bueno lo que pidas, aciertas con dulce o salado. La comida tardó un poco en salir, pero suponemos que es por la gran cantidad de gente que había.

I checked out and read reviews prior to booking and decided to eat here as I only had two days in the city. I called before coming to check corkage fee and told it was $40. When we got there they charged us $50. We did the Valentine’s Day price fixe menu. The foie gras was decent. We both got steak au poivre for our main entrée. This is supposed to be with a ny strip for the cut of beef. I have eaten a lot of NY strips and this didn’t look anything like it. It was very thin sliced and very wide. Looked like a sirloin. I’m not saying they swapped out the cuts, but I am saying I’ve never seen a Ny strip look that sad. The peppercorn sauce was very bland. I was actually really surprised. Most restaurants over salt or over season. This was very under seasoned. I regularly spend >$250 for meals and this was close to $300. Overall was very disappointed in the quality and taste. Keep in mind it wasn’t bad food. The steak was actually perfectly cooked to medium rare. Just for the price point. The value was not there. Maybe ordering off the regular menu and not the pre set menu would have made a big difference. I likely won’t find out as next time I’m in NYC I’ll go somewhere else.

Another perfect celebratory meal at Cafe D’alsace! We had the lobster bisque, winter salad, duck a l’orange, steak frites, crème brûlée, chocolate cake, negroni, smoky paloma, and wine — and all, as well as the service, were delightful.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our salads and entrees, seasonings were exceptional good. Look forward to returning to try additional items.

I dined here for the first time to celebrate my husband’s birthday with my mother in law. It was all of our first time at Cafe d’Alsace. The food was nothing short of amazing. For appetizers we got steak tartar, terrine de canard and homemade gnocchi. The gnocchi was so good we got a second bowl to share. I got the Grilled Scottish Salmon, my husband got Steak Frites (the fries are amazing!) and my MIL got Canard A L’Orange which was very tender and cooked to perfection. Apart from the food the staff was wonderful as well!

On Saturday night my husband and i went to celebrate our 27th anniversary and enjoying Restaurant Week for the first time. We were received with a glass of Prosecco and that set the tone. Our food was delicious and our server Benny was great. Personable without being intrusive. We look forward to coming back and try their a la carte menu.
