Café de Martín (Mar-teen) brings the flavors of Peru to Tallahassee! The man behind the restaurant is Chef Martín, originally from Lima, Peru. He has marked his influence in Leon County's Hispanic community for his outstanding Peruvian cuisine. With Peru always in his heart, Chef Martín continues to lead Tallahassee's gastronomic revolution with new culinary additions serving Peruvian classics such as Papas en salsa Huancaina, Pastel de Choclo, and Aji de Gallina to name a few.     Was told we had to wait 20 minutes even though we had a reservation. Our food took over one hour to come out when tables seated after us were getting served quicker. Server never came back back to check ONCE while the hour wait of our food to see if we needed refills or anything. Food was ok. Did not need to take over an hour to cook simple plates. Service was terrible. Had high hopes but will probably never go back.

    Despite having made advance reservations through Open Table for 2/13, the restaurant was clearly not prepared for our arrival. There were no tables reserved for us and they offered a small table next to the bar and a table with a very large and loud party. I explained that I had made advance reservations through Open Table and the young waiter shrugged and said they had nothing else available. We said that was unacceptable and left. Very disappointing experience. We've eaten at this restaurant numerous times and had good experiences, until this time. I'll keep this in mind if we decide to eat there again.

    We love the spring rolls and lomas saltado. Friendly staff. Very enjoyable!

    The food is excellent. Try the seafood ceviche. It is very tasty and fresh. The restaurant has a very cozy ambiance. We went on a Friday night and the service was extremely slow. We only saw the server twice. We couldn't find her to get the check at the end of the meal. Another server was kind enough to stop by to help out. We'll probably be back since we love the food but will ask for a different server next time.

    We sat inside, pleasant atmosphere. It was too cold to sit outside, but from afar it looked like a nice place to go at night if it was warmer. For the price, there wasn't enough chicken in my dish. The noodles were overcooked, and the garlic bread consisted of two small slivers of bread that were not seasoned enough to be called garlic bread. The server was nice.

    Cafe de Martin is a very special place. I don’t know of another restaurant quite like it. It has a phenomenal outdoor space where there’s often live music. The food is out of the ordinary and very tasty. It also has excellent deserts. This is one of my favorite restaurants.

    We were looking for a non-chain restaurant in Tally and found this gem in OpenTable. Cafe de Martin offers great service and excellent peruvian food!

    Everything was wonderful. The ceviche as always amazing and all entrees are so amazing. The Oreo tres leches is so good!

    I have eaten here multiple times and always had a great meal. This time, however, the service and the drinks were subpar. The food, however, was fast, fresh and tasty. Too bad the bar drinks and service let the experience down.
