First time at this restaurant. It was recommended by a close friend. It was excellent. Everything from the ambiance, service, and food. Will definitely go again!

Food and service were terrific but the 1/2 hour wait with reservations in very tight quarters was not good- obviously overbooked.

Hidden little GEM! This place may not look like much from the outside, but my goodness what a fabulous little place! This was my first trip to the Michigan City/New Buffalo area and we needed some last minute Valentines Day reservations. We took the 430 as opposed to the 930 which were the only time slots available and spent 2+ hours enjoying dinner at the bar (our choice - they had a table for us) The bartenders were great - quick with a joke and had great personalities. Dinner was outstanding - 5 stars all the way. We will be back someday!

We were seated near the door. There was a cold breeze every time someone entered or left the restaurant.

We had meatballs as a starter, then the bacon pasta entree on special and the linguini and clams in white sauce as entrees. Every bite was delicious!

My wife and I chose Cafe Farina to start a weekend long celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. I seleted this restaurant based on other reviews I read. They did not steer me wrong!! I hope my review will help others finalize their choice to try Cafe Farina. Now to the experience itself. In my 53 years of life, I've eaten my fair share of Italian food. I truly can say this was by far the best Italian I've ever eaten. The atmosphere was extremely warm and welcoming. We felt like we were at Grandma's house for a family celebration! The staff was extremely friendly and warm to us we felt like family!! Cafe Farina has now been placed on our must do list when we get to Michigan City! All I truly can say to anyone on the fence about trying this restaurant is just do it!! You truly will not regret it. I love this place!!
