This charming country French restaurant located in historic Aptos Village combines traditional French sauces with a California flair. Private and semi private events can be booked by arrangement. Private events require a buyout of the entire restaurant and are appropriate for parties of 40 - 60 people. Semi private events are available in our lower dining room for parties of 25 - 35 people. The menus can be designed around your event. Exceptional food and atmosphere as always. So sorry Cafe Sparrow is closing and understand prices required for quality food and service is not affordable for longtime Santa Cruz residents.

It was a bittersweet meal. Everything about it was so Cafe Sparrow - delicious. But the restaurant is closing tomorrow, and we will miss it so much! Thank you for 38 years of excellent dining. We will miss you so much.

I have always loved Cafe Sparrow and wanted to enjoy it one last time before it (sadly) closed. It was just a little more hectic than usual because so many people wanted to be there - but I still enjoyed it. Wishing the owners and the servers all the best!

Could not miss the opportunity to have a last lunch at Cafe Sparrow. Their years of consistent quality dining and special dishes will be greatly missed.

Sadly, I must admit that yesterday's lunch at Cafe Sparrow was quite disappointing. I know that they will permanently close on Sunday the 28th so that would explain the crowded/noisy conditions. We ordered our salads at 12;10 and they did not arrive until 1:05. We had to ask our waitress when they would arrive and her response was that there were only 2 cooks on site. We asked about bread and she told us they were out and would not be restocking any more as they were about to close. Cafe Sparrow had always been one of my top 3 restaurants in the Aptos area. I am sad to see them leave and wish the owners/workers the best of luck.

Had a lovely meal just so sad the restaurant is closing and super bummed they ran out of pancake mix and muffins before we could order the strawberry pancakes and peach muffin.
